Butter Dish, Octagonal Bell in Sandstone

A re-edition of a rare piece rediscovered in the Manufacture's archives, this octagonal butter dish is among the most unique creations from our workshops. Its geometric shape, bas-relief decoration, and finely sculpted bell make it a remarkable object, heir to a know-how passed down through generations.
Every detail, from the delicate relief on the top to the carefully crafted handle, requires a long and meticulous amount of work, revealing the complexity and exacting standards of this exceptional model.

Crafted from stoneware and fired at a very high temperature, it is completely vitrified and absorbs neither odor nor flavor. This quality makes it an ideal container for protecting and preserving food. Its large size and generous proportions extend well beyond its original purpose; while it is certainly suitable for holding butter at large family gatherings, in guesthouses, or at receptions, it can also cover cheese, a slice of cake, or a delicate dessert, preserving freshness and aromas. The octagonal tray can also be used on its own as a small serving dish or presentation stand.

Its identity lies in a subtle interplay of materials. The matte exterior offers excellent grip and highlights the model's geometry, while the interior, glazed with a deep gloss, facilitates cleaning and emphasizes the refinement of its forms. This combination of matte and glossy glazes is one of the Manufacture's signatures.

From March 1st, it will also be available in a smaller format, designed for everyday use or small tables, while retaining the elegance and heritage spirit of the original model.
