Vinegar Jar with tap boxwood & cork
Rooted in traditional utilitarian forms, this stoneware vinegar jar is designed to accompany you in crafting your own homemade vinegar. It allows wine or cider to naturally transform into vinegar, following a slow and carefully controlled process faithful to time-honoured practices. Once the vinegar mother has formed, the vinegar can mature protected from light, under ideal storage conditions.
Specifically designed for vinegar making, this stoneware jar ensures optimal conditions for fermentation and maturation. It allows you to create a variety of vinegars — plain or infused — while guaranteeing long-term stability, consistency, and quality.
Crafted from stoneware fired at very high temperatures, it is completely non-porous. This essential quality preserves flavours and aromas, ensuring a healthy and steady fermentation process. The jar is fitted with a boxwood tap made in France and a natural cork stopper, offering precise and comfortable everyday use.
Both a functional vessel and a heritage piece, this vinegar jar fully embodies the Manufacture’s artisanal expertise, at the crossroads of living culinary traditions, ancestral techniques, and the art of preservation.
