Inkwell with spout
More commonly known as a "spouted terrine," this stoneware terrine is a traditional utensil born from French artisanal know-how. Originally, it was used by pharmacists for their preparations, but cheesemakers gave it a different use: the spout allows for easy draining of whey during cheese production.
Over time, the spouted terrine became a staple in regional French cuisine and was used for many traditional recipes, such as the famous cinnamon rice, "Teurgoule" in Normandy, or the vegetable tian in Provence. Its raw or enameled stoneware design guarantees durability and ease of maintenance, while preserving flavors.
Practical and versatile, this spouted terrine combines functionality, artisanal heritage, and timeless charm. Ideal for lovers of traditional cuisine, it finds its place in all kitchens, from everyday meals to the most authentic regional recipes.
